space02.com was founded by Leon Chevalier and Michael Heimrich. Their goal? To redivide the world - virtually. The world is a busy place, and only the icy wastes and undersea trenches remain unclaimed. What if, all of a sudden, the entire planet was open to a massive virtual land-grab? That's what space02.com makes possible.

For as little as $5 you can claim any square metre of the earth as your own. Just search for your favourite place - or any place for that matter - and in as little as 3 clicks you can own it. And owning it means you have the abiility to turn it into your own personal microsite - with photos, videos and text.

About the founders of space02.com

Michael's job and passion is seeing the world with different eyes. It is from this vantage point that - as a designer - he is able to develop attention stopping products. For him, "normality" is just a chance to notice what's missing, and fill that gap. What does that actually mean? It means he likes to break rules - and that space02.com is the logical extension of this. space02.com is his vision of a world "beyond normality". And of course there's the fact that he was looking for a gift for his girlfriend - and what could be more original and sweet than the gift of the place they first met each others' eyes? space02.com was born out of Michael's romantic streak.

Leon is just a random bloke who Michael had once met who happened to have a copy of Frontpage 98. He used it to build this site. Oh, and MS Paint too.
