Buying space

I can't work out how the "Find Spaces" page works. Help!
Click the "How does this work?" button on the page and you will be shown a video walking you through the process. Alternatively, you can use this explanation below:

1. Enter the address and country of your space 2. Scroll and zoom until you find your exact spot ... or use the Zoom here shortcut 3. Click the marker to the left of the map. It's time to grab... 4. ...by clicking the exact spot on the map where you want your space to be 5. Adjust the size of your space, give it a name and add to your cart. Repeat to add another space, or checkout!

General

What does it mean precisely to be a space "Owner"
You are the sole "owner" of your space on this web platform. This means that the area specified at purchase cannot be purchased by another user. This has absolutely NOTHING to do with ownership rights in the real world. In the real world the ownership rights to that area of land do not change. That means that you can't turf you parents out of their home after you buy the area their house is in, and you can't start charging entry for theme parks, sports stadiums and tourist attractions. You are also kindly requested not to start building walls around your purchase.

How can I personalise my spaces page?
You can name your spaces, and write a description of the space and its story. You can add images and even videos (from other platforms). And you can add links from your space page to your homepage or to other sites relevant to the space.

Can I embed my space on another website?
Yes. In the footer of every page on the site you will see a link to "EMBED IN YOUR BLOG". If you are logged into your account, this page will show you the code you need to embed your space in another other website.

Your profile

I'm trying to upload a photo to space02.com but I am receiving an error message. What am I doing wrong?
First of all make sure that your image is in a valid format - .gif, .jpg and .png images are accepted. Secondly, ensure that your image name doesn't have any strange characters in it. "Image.jpg" is, for example, fine as a filename. "On the beach with a Coors ~~.jpg" might not work. Thirdly, make sure your image is less than 600KB in size. If you don't know how to resize an image, we suggest you use the free IrfanView, which you can download here: http://www.irfanview.com/main_download_engl.htm
